Trump pauses reciprocal tariffs on EU before Wednesday?

On April 2, 2025, Donald Trump announced a 20% reciprocal tariff on all imports from the European Union, set to take effect on April 9, 2025, at 12:01 a.m. EDT, as part of the “Liberation Day” tariff plan (see: https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2025/04/02/regulating-imports-with-a-reciprocal-tariff-to-rectify-trade-practices-that-contribute-to-large-and-persistent-annual-united-states-goods-trade-deficits/). This market will resolve to “Yes” if Donald Trump or his administration officially announces a pause, delay, or removal on the tariffs on the 20% reciprocal tariff on imports from the European Union by April 9, 12:00 AM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. Any announcement within this market's time frame will qualify regardless of if/when the policy goes into effect. This market’s primary resolution source will be official information from the Trump administration; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
