First round leader wins NYC Democratic primary?
This market will resolve to “Yes” if the candidate who receives the most first-choice votes in the 2025 Democratic primary for Mayor of New York City, scheduled for June 24, 2025, also finishes with the most votes in the final round of the official ranked-choice voting (RCV) tabulation. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". For the purpose of this market, “first-choice votes” refers to vote totals from the initial round of RCV tabulation, before any eliminations or vote transfers occur. “Final-round votes” refers to the vote totals in the final round of RCV, after all eliminations and reallocation of votes have occurred. If multiple candidates are tied for the most votes in either the first or final round, the candidate whose last name comes first in alphabetical order will be considered higher-ranked for the purposes of resolving this market. This market will resolve based on the official certified results published by the New York City Board of Elections. If a recount is initiated before certification, the market will remain open until the recount is completed and results are certified. A recount initiated after certification will not affect market resolution.
