Who will win the primaries of Les Républicains in France?
This is a market on the winner of the 2021 Congress of Republicans, also known as the Congress for France. It is an organized internal primary of the French major political party, Les Républicains (LR), in order to nominate a candidate representing this party in the French presidential election of 2022. The Congress takes place from December 1 to December 4, 2021. The results of the first round of voting were announced on December 2 2021. A run-off will be held between Éric Ciotti and Valérie Pécresse on December 3 2021, with the result expected the day after. If Valérie Pécresse is announced winner of the primaries, this market will resolve to "Pécresse". If Éric Ciotti is announced winner of the primaries, this market will resolve to "Ciotti" If by December 25, 5PM ET, Les Républicains for any reason has not announced the winner of the primaries or will appoint another candidate for the presidential election, this market will resolve 50-50.
