Will Trump call Putin “strong” on Friday?
This market will resolve to "Yes" if Donald Trump publicly uses the word “strong” in reference to Vladimir Putin on Aug 15, 2025 (AKDT). Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Comments that merely imply strength without explicitly using the term “strong” will not qualify. For example, statements such as “Putin is tough” or “Putin is powerful” will not qualify unless the word “strong” is specifically used. Trump must use the word “strong” or a direct grammatical variant such as “stronger” or “strongest” in reference to Putin. A direct reference will qualify even if Putin is not named, so long as it is reasonably clear he is the subject. Statements such as “I wouldn’t call Putin strong” or “People say Putin is strong, but I disagree” will not qualify, as they do not constitute a direct usage of the qualifying term in a positive reference to Putin. Any written, verbal, or recorded usage will qualify. The resolution source will be public statements from Donald Trump.
