Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics: Will Russia have any medals stripped for doping?
The Russian Federation's Olympic team triggered a doping scandal after several of their athletes tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs. Because of this, Russia has faced multiple sanctions in the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. In accordance with these sanctions, all Russian athletes in the 2022 Winter Olympics participate under the name "Russian Olympic Committee" (ROC) while also adhering to other sanctions. This is a market on whether any athletes participating in the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics as part of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) will have their medal(s) stripped due to anti-doping rule violations before April 1 2022 (11:59:59 PM ET). If any athlete participating in the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics as part of the ROC has their medal(s) stripped before April 1 2022 (11:59:59 PM ET) due to anti-doping rule violations, this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Note that if medals are stripped, even if returned afterwards, it will still be sufficient to resolve this market to "Yes." The resolution source for this market will be official information released by the International Olympic Committee.
