Will Canada hold a federal election in 2021?

This is a market on whether Canada will hold a federal election during 2021. This market will resolve to “Yes” if a Canadian federal election begins after the market creation date, August 11, 2021, 12:00 PM ET, and before the expiration date, January 1, 2022, 12:01 AM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No.” The beginning of the election is defined as the time when the Governor in Council of Canada issues a proclamation for a general election. In the event of ambiguity in terms of the market outcome, the market will be resolved in good faith at the sole discretion of the Markets Integrity Committee (MIC).
