Will 3 or more of Dan Ariely’s papers be retracted by December 31, 2021?
This market will resolve to “Yes” if 3 or more papers which were published in academic journals (e.g. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Psychological Science) and on which Dan Ariely, the psychology professor and New York Times best-selling author, is listed as an author, are formally retracted by the journal in which they were published, and these retractions occur on or after August 17, 2021 (i.e. any old retractions will not count) and on or before December 31, 2021. Note: only full article retractions will count toward the total number of retractions. Corrections and partial retractions will not be counted. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No.” In the event of ambiguity in terms of the market outcome, the market will be resolved in good faith at the sole discretion of the Markets Integrity Committee (MIC).
