Edmonton Oilers longest winning streak in NHL history? (>17 games)
At the time of this market's inception (Jan 22), the Edmonton Oilers have won 13 games in a row in the 2023-24 NHL season. The record for the longest single-season winning streak in NHL history is 17, attained by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 92-93. This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Edmonton Oilers win 18 games in a row in their current winning streak. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If the Edmonton Oilers lose any of their next 5 games, this market will immediately resolve to "No". Note, if they tie for the longest single-season winning streak at 17 games, it will not suffice to resolve this market to "Yes" - they must win 18 games in a row. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the NHL, including game footage, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
